SHAKEOLOGY POPPERS!!

These are our super duper yummy, healthy treats I make for the family; my boys ages 10 and 7 especially LOVE them!!

Yes the two with sprinkles are for my boys..,hey, they’re kids and they all love sprinkles! But besides the sprinkles , they will be getting protein, healthy fats, super foods, vitamins and minerals in every bite!! And they taste like BROWNIES! This is one healthy food that doesn’t taste healthy but I don’t hide that from them! They know exactly what’s in Shakeology! These make great after school snacks, put in their lunch box, use before sports as a snack.  And I personally love them after dinner when that sweet craving hits!!

Here is the recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 Tablespoons Natural Peanut butter (I prefer the Teddie’s unsalted natural PB)
  • ½ Cup Shakeology Chocolate Protein Powder  (or one packet if you have them in the packets)
  • 1/2 Cup Raw Honey (organic if possible)
  • ½ Cup Quick Oats
  • A few dash’s of Cinnamon.
  • I also added in 1/2 cup crushed walnuts (this is optional).

DIRECTIONS: Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl. It may take some time to blend all of the ingredients together. If it’s too sticky, sprinkle in additional protein powder so that it’s like a brownie batter texture.  You may have to play around with the amount to get the texture you like.  Next – Roll mixture into small individual balls and place on a wax sheet. Makes about 12 balls, 1 ounce each. Put in refrigerator, ENJOY!

NOTE:  On this blog I also have the same recipe using crushed peanut butter powder like PB2, or Just Great Stuff.  That will make them less fat since you will use a little less peanut butter.  But I really liked the way these came out!! And 1-2 balls is not that much fat, and good amount of protein!
